SIR Stock SmallStrategic Information Resources announced today that it has successfully completed its System and Organization Controls (SOC) 2, Type 2 examination. SIR cited all efforts were completed by a professional and independent third-party audit firm, 360 Advanced, Inc.

“SIR and its background screening division, Background Decision, elected to undergo SOC examinations as a result of industry vendor due diligence requirements,” states Jackie Drziak, EVP of Corporate Compliance.

A SOC 2 Type 2 examination is widely accepted as a bench mark of control validation.

Completion of the SOC 2 Type II examination is extensively recognized for demonstrating an organization’s commitment to the AICPA Trust Services Criteria: Security, Availability, Processing Integrity, Confidentiality, and Privacy.

“We’re proud to have completed another round of SOC 2 Type II examination,” says Jackie Drziak, EVP of Corporate Compliance at SIR.

“This is a great opportunity for us to prove the numerous controls maintained to protect information and to reinforce our organization’s position as a leading qualified partner to the markets we serve.”

In 1926, SIR started as a regional provider of credit information helping financial institutions evaluate loan applicants. Today, SIR is a leading provider of information solutions delivering a mix of comprehensive products that add value to their clients’ entire process.

Having a SOC 2 Type II helps assure SIR’s clients and prospects that they have maintained the necessary controls for security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality and privacy.

SIR began completing SOC examinations in 2015 and has maintained compliance with industry regulatory requirements since its inception.
