The Federal Housing Administration’s (FHA) Electronic Appraisal Delivery (EAD) portal will become mandatory for use by all FHA lenders on June 27, 2016. FHA recommends that lenders be registered and on-boarded to the EAD portal before this date to avoid potential disruptions in FHA case processing. After June 27, the EAD portal will be the only method for FHA approved lenders to submit appraisal reports.
Strategic Information Resources is participating as a lender agent and is submitting appraisal reports to EAD on behalf of our FHA lenders. This process requires you the lender to register first and then request SIR to be your approved lender agent. Appraisals can be submitted automatically as they are delivered to you or they can be manually submitted by you through our technology once reviewed/underwritten.
